Below is a diagram provided to us by the Canadian Coast Guard in regards to the shipping channel into Midland Harbour. Please be aware that the Ice Breaker has been into Midland this winter and ice in the red area shown below is to be considered unsafe. The Canadian Coast Guard has the responsibility to ensure that marine shipping moves in a safe, timely, and efficient manner through or around ice-covered waters. This normally happens in the early winter and spring, into Midland Harbour.
